At her Broadway premiere, Michelle Williams received support from her former colleagues Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland.
Even though the girl group Destiny’s Child hasn’t existed for almost two decades, the women continue to support each other: On Thursday, Beyoncé (43) and Kelly Rowland (43) visited their colleague Michelle Williams (45) at its premiere on Broadway.
Williams plays in the Broadway musical “Death Becomes Her”, which is based on the 1992 film of the same name and is running in Germany under the title “Death Becomes Her”. In the piece, Williams takes on the role of Viola van Horn, who was called Lisle by Rhoman in the film and was played by Isabella Rossellini (72).
All eyes on Michelle Williams
Her ex-bandmates supported her wholeheartedly. Beyoncé, who had by far the most successful solo career after Destiny’s Child, came to the premiere wearing glasses and a baseball cap – presumably so as not to steal the show from Williams. Numerous photos were taken on the special evening, which Beyoncé now shared with her 314 million followers. Also striking here: Beyoncé and Rowland are simply posing in a kind of underground car park and a storage room.
The real star of the evening, Michelle Williams, sparkles in the photos on stage, in front of her dressing room and poses glamorously in the audience room of the theater. Beyoncé writes in tribute to her friend: “My beautiful one”.
Beyoncé’s mother was also there
Tina Beyoncé Knowles, Beyoncé’s mother and the girl group’s former manager, is also included in some of the pictures. She posted and wrote: “Always nice to see Destiny’s Child together.” She also wrote that Michelle “killed” her role: “She spoke like an angel and looked like a goddess!!!” She concluded by describing the trio as “‘ride or die’ friends who support and love each other.”
Beyoncé fans also love the friendship between the three women. In the comments they rave: “Love is in all these pictures” or “Your sisterhood warms my heart.” Many followers also think “This is true friendship” and are happy: “I love seeing how they support each other.”
