TV show: Presenter Madita van Hülsen out of “Masked Singer”.

TV presenter Madita van Hülsen was the second participant to be eliminated from the new season of the ProSieben show “The Masked Singer”. She had hidden her true identity behind a leek mask and created a great atmosphere. “I’m a little bit close to tears,” said van Hülsen, who clearly enjoyed the show and would have liked to stay longer.

After the season started on Saturday, the remaining five of ten masked celebrities appeared in the second show on Sunday evening. Van Hülsen received the fewest votes from the audience and therefore had to take off the leek mask at the end of the show. The leek suited her best, said the 43-year-old. Nevertheless, she was happy to be able to “breathe again” after the dissolution.

In the live show “The Masked Singer” celebrities appear as singers, but they cannot be recognized because of their elaborate costumes. Only her voice and mysterious clues give any idea who is on stage. Whoever gets too few votes from the audience is exposed – or who wins the final in the end.

Jury on the wrong track

In addition to the competition on stage, this season there will also be a jury duel. In all six episodes, presenter Palina Rojinski and singer Rea Garvey puzzle over who is behind the masks against a celebrity duo with a changing cast. In this edition, the opposing guessing team consisted of the twin brothers Heiko and Roman Lochmann – also known as the music duo “HE/RO”.

However, both guessing teams were on the wrong track and thought the leek was a comedian: Martina Hill or Hazel Brugger were the top picks. The audience also agreed with this assessment via online voting. That’s why there was a big surprise when the mask fell.

The television show is known for its sometimes spectacular costumes. Now in its eleventh season, features include a glow-in-the-dark jellyfish, a red locomotive and a Playmobil-style pirate.

The fire salamander had to tremble

Despite the show on a motorcycle, the glittering fire salamander had to worry about moving into the next round as the loser of the two-man duel with the snowman. He had to go into another round with the leek, but he ultimately prevailed.

In the first episode of the new season, the character “The Rhino” was revealed. Among them was the former handball professional Pascal Hens. After the leek’s elimination, eight masked celebrities are still in the running. It continues next Saturday on ProSieben and Joyn. The final is scheduled for December 21st.
