“Among Us” is 30 years old. Reason enough to look back. A few fashion sins stand out. “Oh my God, yes! Some combinations were really wild,” says actress Isabell Hertel.
“Among Us” star Isabell Hertel is now highlighting some of the fashion sins she wore in the early episodes of the daily soap in the mid-90s. “Oh my God, yes! Some combinations were really wild,” she says in a dpa interview on the 30th anniversary of the RTL series. “I recently watched my first scene during an interview. I wore shoes with wooden heels and striped knee socks up to my skirt. Let me put it this way: I wouldn’t do that anymore today,” she says and laughs. Isabell Hertel was there in the first year. She entered episode 55, aired on February 13, 1995.
The now 51-year-old has been playing the role of Ute Kiefer since the early days of “Unter uns”. To this day, they continue to receive responses from people in their long-standing audience. “Not necessarily post, but I often meet viewers from the first hour! That’s great! And many of them can remember more details than me.” She is very satisfied with the development of her role, says Hertel. “Ute has become much stronger and braver. She doesn’t put up with anything anymore and fights for her convictions. I really like her development.”
The soap “Unter uns” celebrates its 30th birthday on November 28th. RTL is celebrating a whole week from November 25th to 29th. The anniversary episode is already episode 7509. During this time, the actors had to play a wide variety of jobs in front of the camera – including bomb defuser, star on Japanese television, nun or prostitute.
Many celebrities also made a guest appearance in the soap opera. They included the “The Price is Hot” stars Harry Wijnvoord and Walter Freiwald, boxing world champion Dariusz Michalczewski, influencer Cathy Hummels, talk show host Markus Lanz, TV presenter Ruth Moschner and singer Nino de Angelo.
