To carry out this plan, the Provincial Energy Directorate carried out together with Electrical Distributorscooperatives and municipalities loadability studies of High Voltage networks to analyze and forecast the map of critical places with possible power deficit where the Temporary Generation Units (UGT).
The equipment will be installed in six cities in the Province of Buenos Aires and will seek to reach nearby locations, as contemplated in the electrical corridors.
Summer Plan: the points where the supply of electrical energy will be reinforced
- San Antonio de Areco: 4 MW of power
The beneficiary towns will be Pergamino, Arrecifes, Capitán Sarmiento and San Antonio de Areco.
- May 25: 4 MW of power
The beneficiary locations will be Bragado and 9 de Julio.
- July 9: 4 MW of power
The beneficiary towns will be Bragado, Carlos Casares, Pehuajó and Trenque Lauquen.
- Parchment: 5.7 Mw power
The beneficiary towns will be Rojas, Junín, Colón and Carabajales
- General Viamonte: 4.2 MW of power
The beneficiary towns will be Junín, Baigorria, Zábala, Coronel O Brien, Warnes, El Arbolito and Mariano H. Alfonso
- Mar del Tuyú: 2.1 Mw of power
The beneficiary localities will be those of the Atlantic Corridor: Gral. Lavalle, San Clemente, Las Toninas, Santa Teresita, Mar de Ajó, Pinamar and Villa Gesell
Electrical energy works in the province of Buenos Aires
In addition to this temporary solution for the time of high demand, the Undersecretariat of Energy carried out infrastructure works that will improve the quality of the electrical service, such as Henderson, Pehuajó and Villegas electrical corridor where the construction of substations decompressed energy demand.
In turn, after the repowering work of the northern corridor of the province of Buenos Aires, Mercedes and Bragado They will not have the need to install Temporary Generation.
In addition, to strengthen the electrical map of the Province of Buenos Aires, construction works are beginning High Voltage (AT) financed by the Development Bank of Latin America (CAF) that will allow electrical energy to be transported over greater distances with lower losses. In this way, there will be better power availability and it will be safer and more reliable.
These works are being carried out in the towns of Chivilcoy, Guaminí and are already in the award process for the town of Quequén.
