Yvonne Woelke and Peter Klein are lovers after all. However, it hasn’t been that long, as they explain in the double interview.
After the rumor circulated for two years, it has now actually come true: Yvonne Woelke (45) and the newly divorced Peter Klein (57) are lovers. The two participants in the second season of “Forsthaus Rampensau Germany”, which will premiere on Joyn with two episodes on Saturday (November 30th), will make this clear at the start of the show. In a double interview with the news agency spot on news, the two reveal how long they have been a couple and what plans they have for the future.
Why did you decide to use “Forsthaus Rampensau” as a love outing?
Peter Klein: Since it seems to be of great interest to the public, we decided to do it. This way, viewers can form their own opinion about our relationship without having to speculate. Yvonne Woelke: I thought, if we’re going to make it public, then do it right. There’s a lot of interest from all sides and I thought, if we’re going to get so much hate, then it should be worth it.
You have always denied a romantic relationship. Were you really just friends for a long time or did you just keep the relationship out of the public eye?
Klein: We were always very close friends, we didn’t have a relationship. And where there is nothing, there is no need to keep anything out of the public eye.
Since when have you officially been a couple and who took the first step towards a relationship?
Klein: It happened with us at the Schlagermove in Hamburg [Mai 2024, Red.] and we both realized that what we feel for each other is more than just friendship. We’ve been together since then.
Woelke: We were friends for a very long time and we gave each other the support we needed. Ultimately the situation brought us together. Everything I went through in those two years was almost unbearable, I had no one to talk to about this topic except Peter and that connected us and made us love.
Are you worried about what reactions might come to coming out in a relationship?
Klein: I think it was bad the whole time. We were told something that we didn’t have. Now people have to deal with our relationship and we’re excited to see what the reactions are. Woelke: I think some people will be really happy because most people wanted that and the others who already had us anyway will continue to have it and go one better. Now I don’t care what people say because in the end they are always the same. And you never know who is behind these fake accounts…
What do you value about your relationship and each other?
Klein: What I appreciate about Yvonne is that she is an absolutely loyal and honest person. For me, she combines all the positive attributes of a woman, both internally and externally.Woelke: What I value about Peter is his loyalty, his incredible calm and patience. He is really a great person.
What plans do you have as a couple and what do you hope for the future together?
Klein: We have to see what the next period brings. Of course we have some things planned, including in relation to retirement planning. For our future together, we wish that our love and trust endured and that we can really find peace at some point.Woelke: My wish for our future is that we can balance our professional and private lives. And no matter what happens, we just stick together.
Mr. Klein, your divorce is now final, you describe yourself on Instagram as “divorced and happy”. Don’t you feel any sadness? How do you feel about marriage now, is it over for you or would you get married again?
Klein: Yes, that’s right, I’m now legally divorced and I’m happy about that. I hope that peace will finally return now that this chapter is closed. When it comes to marriage, my attitude is: never say never. If it’s right, I’m not averse to a new partnership. But I had to learn something the hard way: Unfortunately, you only get to know your partner’s true character when you break up.
