Thomas Helmer and Yasmina Filali: Ex-couple celebrates reunion for a good cause

Two years ago, ex-footballer Thomas Helmer (59) and actress Yasmina Filali (49) announced their separation after 21 years together. Now the former celebrity dream couple celebrated a reunion a few weeks before Christmas – for a good cause.

Under the motto “More than a warm meal”, the Hamburg support association Friends Cup invited more than 450 needy people in the Hanseatic city to a three-course Christmas menu in the Altona fish auction hall on Tuesday (November 26th). With their joint appearance, Helmer and Filali prove once again that they parted on good terms and without mudslinging. When the ex-couple announced their separation in August 2022, it sounded like this: It had been a “fantastic 21 years” in which they “laughed a lot and sometimes cried” together, the two told “Bild am Sonntag” at the time. . Together they “brought the two most amazing children into this world.” Despite the separation, they wanted to be there for them and for each other: “We have grown up together and remain connected not only as friends and family, but also in our hearts,” they said.

Yasmina Filali and Thomas Helmer married in July 2005 after four years of dating – she was just 25 and he was 40. Their daughter was born in November 2007, followed by a son in May 2010. Just a few days ago, on November 20, 2024, her 17-year-old daughter Sam celebrated her red carpet debut with her mother at the “Golden Image of Women” Award in Hamburg. Until now, the couple had not shown their children’s faces publicly.
