This Wednesday, November 27, FAECYS carried out its Annual Congress in Parque Norte, Autonomous City of Buenos Aires. The event brought together the federation’s branches from across the country, consolidating a day of analysis, debate and proposals regarding the challenges of the sector and the country as a whole.

In this regard, Cavalieri highlighted the fundamental role of the Argentine labor movement as “one of the main beams of our nationality.” In this sense, he stressed that the union organization cannot remain oblivious to the rates of poverty and inequality that society is experiencing: “It is impossible for the market to regulate everything. In that context only those who can live, not those who should”he sentenced.
The representative of one of the three most relevant sectors of the Argentine economy (along with construction and industry) also referred to the importance of an efficient State as an engine to overcome crises and promote social justice. “The absent State is useless. It is functional to the lack of private employment generation, the increase in unemployment, the fall in wages and the reprimarization of the economy.“.
Likewise, he advocated for broad and democratic consensus to build a productive and supportive Argentina: “The national unity that we proclaim is not the expression of the absolute: it is the average of the relative. That average is more solid, it has the consistency of cement,” he deepened.
