Jennifer Garner mourns the loss of family dog Birdie. The Golden Retriever is immortalized in the house in a very special way.
Jennifer Garner’s (52) beloved golden retriever Birdie died at the age of nine. The “Deadpool & Wolverine” actress with. She also posted a lot of photos and videos of the beloved four-legged friend.

“Birdie let us know on Thursday that she wasn’t feeling well (known as a foodie, Birdie never missed a meal),” the US actress explained. “We were surprised to learn that not only was she very sick, but she was also at the end of her life,” she said, describing the moments at the vet. “The vet told us that dogs often hold out until their humans get home from college, and we believe Birdie did just that, so together we were able to pet her soft ears and thank her for being the best dog of the world,” Garner continued.
Garner’s oldest child, 18-year-old Violet, is a freshman at Yale University who apparently came home for Thanksgiving (November 28). She also shares the children Seraphina “Fin” (15) and Samuel (12) with her ex-husband Ben Affleck (52). Garner and Affleck were married from 2005 to 2018.

“Birdie loved being read to, always found a way into the Pretend Cooking Show, and knew exactly how to give people what they needed (as evidenced by her happy days as a dog therapy team with Mo),” the Emmy nominee added Actress added. Jennifer Garner included several photos and videos of Birdie in her tribute, including one of her standing on an outdoor staircase smiling broadly and another of her wearing reading glasses. There’s also a video of her reading “Pete’s a Pizza” by William Steig to Birdie, and a clip of the two of them in the reading corner of their house.
In this reading nook there is a stained glass window with a scene of Birdie watching a couple of owls sitting in a tree. She ended her slideshow with a snapshot of this now even more meaningful window.
In addition to her human family, Birdie also leaves behind several animal family members: a chicken named Regina, two dogs named Kitty and Bugs, and the cat Moose.
