The iconic Motörhead frontman, considered one of the most influential figures in metal history, died in December 2015 at the age of 70.

Some of the ashes of Lemmy Kilmister will be shown at Stringfellow’s strip club in London.

The iconic leader of Motörheadconsidered one of the most influential figures in the history of metal, died in December 2015 at the age of 70, shortly after learning that had been diagnosed with cancer. Now, almost nine years later, his ashes continue to make people talk.

Lemmy’s ashes to be displayed at strip club

It has recently been confirmed that some of his ashes will be permanently displayed in the Stringfellow’s strip club from the capital of the United Kingdom. The venue was created by the late businessman and nightclub owner, Peter Stringfellow, and was a popular destination for the Motörhead frontman.

The ashes will arrive on December 18 and will be displayed in an urn in the shape of the singer and bassist’s signature cavalry hat. A ceremony will be held to celebrate the arrival of the ashes at the sitewhich will be attended by Lemmy’s bandmate, guitarist Phil Campbell.

“Stringfellows always held a special place in Lemmy’s heart. “He loved the rock’n’roll spirit that Peter brought to the club, he loved the relaxed atmosphere and he certainly loved the view,” said Todd Singerman, Motörhead’s manager (via Louder). “I know you are relieved to be able to enjoy one of your favorite places on the planet again!”.

The outlet also shared how Lemmy revealed his fondness for the club in 2016, when he told The Hollywood Times that he enjoyed spending time there when he wasn’t on tour. “Stringfellows in London… is a high-end strip club. There is always a great welcome there. “I’ve known the owner, Peter, since 1964,” he said.

It is not the first time that Lemmy has made headlines for the place where his ashes will be displayed. In the middle of this year, for example, A convoy of 55 Harley Davidson motorcyclists escorted a bust of his ashes to Nottingham Rock Cityand are scheduled to return to the Bloodstock Festival every year.
