Oliver Pocher: Amira Aly’s brother Hima is a guest on his podcast

Amira Aly’s brother still lives in Oliver Pocher’s house

Oliver Pocher welcomed an unusual guest to his podcast: the brother of his ex-wife Amira Aly. The two men still have a lot in common.

In the latest episode of theirs, comedian Oliver Pocher and his ex-wife Sandy Meyer-Wölden have a special guest: Amira Aly’s brother Hima. The 34-year-old can be heard with his sister week after week on her new podcast “Liebes Leben” after her separation from Oliver Pocher. Anyone who expects arguments, a tense atmosphere and accusations during the podcast crossover is wrong. A pleasant conversation develops between the always deeply relaxed Hima Aly and his hosts, which is primarily about the Pocher-Aly-Meyer-Wölden patchwork family and their shared living situation.

That’s why Hima Aly didn’t move out of Oliver Pocher’s house

While Amira Aly moved out after the divorce, brother Hima still lives under the same roof with Oliver Pocher. In 2020 he moved into the comedian’s villa in Cologne. Hima Aly explains why he still lives with Pocher: “It’s not my separation.”

He has become good friends with Oliver Pocher over the years he has known him. “There’s a connection that you just can’t break off,” he explains the patchwork family situation in a sensitive way. Pocher and Aly’s children would now call the 34-year-old “uncle” just like Sandy Meyer-Wölden’s. And so Hima Aly, whom Oliver Pocher also describes as a “peace of calm” in the course of the conversation, has now been living under the same roof with her ex-husband without her sister Amira for twelve months. He also spends a lot of time with the children who live there – including those of Pocher’s ex-wife Sandy Meyer-Wölden.

Hima’s unusual podcast appearance came about “super spontaneously”, reveals Sandy Meyer-Wölden during the course of the conversation. Hima Aly, on the other hand, emphasizes the unusual situation with two competing podcasts from the former Pocher couple. He jokingly describes himself and Sandy Meyer-Wölden as “filling the gaps, but we’re still here.”

Only once during Hima Aly’s appearance is the separation of Oliver Pocher and Amira Aly briefly discussed. Hima believes that this was “not exemplary”, but that clearly cannot tarnish his excellent relationship with his former brother-in-law.
