ARCA updated the Classifier of Economic Activities (CLAE) with the incorporation of new digital activities, such as streaming, cryptoasset management and electronic services.

The Customs Collection and Control Agency (ARCA), the organization led by Florencia Misrahi, updated Form 883, Classifier of Economic Activities (CLAE), with the aim of organizing, codifying and grouping in a more homogeneous and efficient way the new forms of business and innovative services that have emerged with the expansion of virtual platforms.

He did it through General Resolution No. 5607/24 published this Friday in the Official Gazette. This update covers activities related to the live broadcast of programs through streaming platforms, cryptoasset management and advertising with audiovisual content, among other digital services that have gained relevance in recent years.

The background of the standard

The regulations issued by ARCA respond to the growing integration of technologies in various areas of the economy, a phenomenon that has intensified in the last decade. In addition, it reflects the greater diversification and evolution of operational and commercial processes driven by taxpayers, who have adopted new technological tools to optimize their activities.

In this context, digital transformation has facilitated the massive use of electronic management platforms, digital portals and mobile applications, which has generated the need to update the classifier of economic activities.
