However, as of today, and “after the insistent request to the coordination of the Paso Los Libertadores about the status of connectivity between the two countries for tourism”, according to the General Coordinator of the International Passage, the Protected Borders plan is in force that allows entry to Chile for tourism.

“As of today, the Protected Borders plan is in force, where the entrance to Chile for tourism is open according to the pre-established requirements. In this regard, service hours are maintained from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. for this modality”, it was officially reported.

Regarding the requirements to enter Chile, it was indicated that a negative PCR test is requested, carried out 72 hours before entering, passengers will undergo another PCR test to rule out possible contagion and an antigen test for all those who enter through the by land, homologation of the vaccines against Covid-19 (those who do not have this pass must quarantine for seven days upon arrival) and medical insurance for $30,000.
