“Baywatch” star gives emotional update

The recent treatment for breast cancer took such a toll on Nicole Eggert that she burst into tears in front of the camera.

Nicole Eggert (52), who is suffering from cancer, tearfully reported to her fans with a health update. The former “Baywatch” star has been battling breast cancer for around a year.

Shocked by real tattoos in the hospital

In an emotional video shared on Instagram, the 52-year-old began crying as she explained what happened at her recent hospital appointment. “Okay, I just got out of my CT scan – mapping as they call it – for my radiation treatment and when they said they were going to tattoo me… I didn’t realize they were actual, real tattoos, so I got tattooed,” she explained in the clip, which she recorded in her car. She now has three points on her neck. “It’s just dots, but boy, every step of this process will never make you forget that. There will just always be a constant reminder.”

Nicole Eggert tries to stay positive despite this experience, which literally gets under her skin. She ended her video message on a hopeful note. “The rest is me working on myself and thinking about how to get through this and ignoring these new tattoos I have.” She wants to try to interpret the three points in a triangle positively: “I call them: No more cancer.”

In an earlier Instagram video, she emphasized that she wasn’t worried about the pain, but rather about any damage the radiation could do to the body. “My father had it in his brain, he had tumors in his brain and after the first treatment he was no longer the same person.”

In December 2023 she received the cancer diagnosis

In January 2024, the actress made it public that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer a month earlier. She then blamed the illness on her breast implants, which she had inserted for her “Baywatch” role. Nicole Eggert played lifeguard Summer Quinn in the successful television series from 1992 to 1994. In 2003 she was also seen in the television film “Baywatch – Wedding in Hawaii”.

The documentary series “After Baywatch” was released at the end of August 2024, in which the former stars of the cult series have their say. Eggert can be seen in it and she co-produced the documentary. In addition to her two daughters, this was a “great distraction.” “That was a big motivation for me to not just sit and think about my health. It gave me a purpose,” she told People magazine.
