This nude appearance boosted Margot Robbie’s acting career

Ten years ago, few people knew the name Margot Robbie. The whole world knows him thanks to “Barbie”. But even before that, the actress caused a stir.
Margot Robbie recently gave birth to her first child and is now playing the role of a lifetime, that of a mother. But there were also various acting highlights in her career. One of them was her role opposite Leonardo DiCaprio in “The Wolf of Wallstreet”, where she let go of all her clothes. And that even though she didn’t have to.
The film’s director, Martin Scorsese, wanted to have the scene from the script in which she opens a sliding door stark naked especially for Margot Robbie, rewritten and adapted into a more clothed version. “Maybe you can wear a robe if you feel uncomfortable,” he is said to have suggested to her. But the actress, then in her early twenties, insisted on playing the scene exactly as it was intended.
In the “Talking Pictures ” Robbie revealed that she contradicted the star director because it didn’t fit her image of the role: “But I said, ‘She wouldn’t do that in this scene. The whole point is that “She comes out completely naked – that’s the card she plays.” She wanted to play the role of “Naomi Lapaglia” with all her heart and body; after all, it took her several attempts to get the role.

Margot Robbie gave it her all in the audition – even physical assault
“My managers made me re-record my audition tape five times because it wasn’t good enough,” she said. And then she tells a funny anecdote. During the film’s pivotal audition scene, in which Naomi Jordan throws water on Belfort’s face, Robbie struggled: “I thought I could just kiss Leonardo DiCaprio now – and that would be great. I couldn’t wait to tell all my friends about it . But then I thought… no. And instead I punched him square in the face. There was complete silence that felt like an eternity, but probably only lasted three seconds.
The emotional reaction didn’t cause anger, but rather amusement: “And then everyone burst out laughing. Leo and Marty laughed so hard that they said, ‘That was great!’ I just thought, ‘I’m going to be arrested. That was definitely assault. Not only that, you’re never going to work again – you’re going to jail for this, you idiot. And why did you have to hit him so hard? can do.”
Apparently the beating and the nudity didn’t hurt the actress’ career, quite the opposite.
