After his dismissal as finance minister, FDP politician Christian Lindner now has nice private news.
Two years after their wedding, FDP chairman Christian Lindner (45) and journalist Franca Lehfeldt (35) are looking forward to their first baby. They revealed the pregnancy without many words on the red carpet at an event co-organized by Lehfeldt: There the 35-year-old appeared in a tight evening dress with a visible baby bump.
Officially together since 2018
On Saturday evening (November 30th), Franca Lehfeldt moderated the “WoMen on Top” event in Düsseldorf. She founded the event series three years ago together with her friends, the journalist Nena Brockhaus (32) and the actress and author Vivien Wulf (30). When the three women posed together on the red carpet, Lehfeldt’s baby bump could not be overlooked in the tight, long glittery dress. The baby is supposed to be born in spring and Lehfeldt is already in her sixth or seventh month.
The politician confirmed his relationship with then RTL reporter Lehfeldt in July 2018. A few weeks earlier he had announced his separation from journalist Dagmar Rosenfeld (50). He had been married to her since 2011 and the marriage remained childless. The engagement to Franca Lehfeldt took place in September 2021, and the couple exchanged vows on Sylt on July 7, 2022. The wedding was celebrated for several days.
He dreams of having several children
Lindner made no secret of the fact that he would like to have a large family: “My greatest wish in life is not to be a minister in the government one day. But to soon have two, three or four girls or boys,” he said Year before the wedding in an interview with “Bunte”. He caused a stir with his ideas for parental leave. He wants to use this to write books, hunt and fish.
