Boris Becker has four children. Three of them were at the funeral of grandmother Elvira, Anna Ermakova was missing. Now she explains why she didn’t pay her last respects to her grandmother.
On November 21st, Boris Becker’s mother, Elvira, died in Leimen at the age of 89. Last Saturday, her loved ones, friends and family said goodbye to the pensioner. In addition to her son Boris, three of his children were also present at the funeral service. His sons Noah and Elias from his marriage to Barbara Becker, as well as the youngest of the siblings Amadeus, from his marriage to Lilly Becker.
However, his illegitimate daughter Anna Ermakova was not present in the Sacred Heart Church. She would have had the opportunity to say a final goodbye to her grandmother at the coffin decorated with red and white roses. But apparently she actively decided against it. For one simple reason: There is a thick atmosphere between Anna Ermakova and her father Boris Becker.
Anna Ermakova didn’t want to be the center of attention
Ermakova told the “Bild Zeitung” about her absence: “At the moment everyone is mourning Grandma. That’s the most important thing. I think it’s common knowledge that my father and I have differences that need to be resolved. I didn’t want that that overshadows the situation and makes anyone uncomfortable at the memorial service. Also because there is a lot of attention that is overwhelming on top of Grandma’s death.”
But the 24-year-old still wants to say goodbye to her grandmother, even if they weren’t particularly close: “I want to pay my respects privately and am concentrating on healing for the time being.”
Elvira Becker is now buried next to her husband, Karl-Heinz Becker, who died of peritoneal cancer in 1999 at the age of 63. Anna would like to visit this place at some point because she only has good memories of her paternal grandmother: “Although I unfortunately didn’t know my grandmother very well, it hit me harder than I expected. She was a strong woman who always showed me kindness , when I met her, may her soul rest in peace.”
