Elton John spoke to the audience at a performance of The Devil Wears Prada: The Musical. The main focus was on his health problems.
It has been known for some time that Elton John has been suffering from various health problems. The 77-year-old superstar recently explained that he was struggling with his eyesight after an infection in the summer and was therefore unable to finish his album. Now he revealed how bad things actually are for him. At the premiere of “The Devil Wears Prada: The Musical” he said: “As some of you may know, I had problems and have now lost my eyesight. I couldn’t see the performance, but I enjoyed it,” reports the “Daily Mail”.
His husband David Furnish had to help him get off the stage. The singer thanked him: “To my husband, who was my rock because I couldn’t come to many of the previews. It’s hard for me to see, but I enjoyed hearing it and it sounded good.”

Elton John speaks openly about his health
Elton John previously said on ABC’s “Good Morning America” that he hasn’t been able to see out of his right eye since July and that his left “eye isn’t doing so well either.” “It’s not a fluke when something like that happens, and it kind of blew my mind. I can’t see anything, I can’t read anything, I can’t look at anything.” The new album is on hold. Elton John said he didn’t know when it would be finished. “It’s been a while since I’ve done anything. I’m kind of stuck at the moment””
In addition to his eyesight, Elton John also struggles with other health problems. After a fall, both knees and his right hip were replaced with prostheses, so he had to postpone his farewell tour.
Drugs with John Lennon and an appearance as Donald Duck: Ten absurd episodes from Elton John’s life

Elton John and Beatles legend John Lennon remained close friends until Lennon’s death. In his autobiography “I”, Elton John remembers a meeting between the two at the “Sherry Netherland” Hotel in New York. The musicians were doing coke together in the hotel room when there was a knock on the door. Through the spy they saw who wanted to visit them. It was artist and photographer Andy Warhol. “‘Does he have that fucking camera with him?’ he asked [Lennon]. I looked through the peephole again and nodded. Andy took his Polaroid camera with him everywhere. ‘Right,’ said John. ‘And now do you want him to come in here and take photos of us while icicles of coke are hanging out of your nose?'” Elton John writes about the day in the hotel. They didn’t open Andy Warhol’s door.

Singer talks about dying
He also speaks less optimistically about his health in the upcoming film “Elton John: Never Too Late,” according to “Radio Times.” Elton John and David Furnish have two children, Zachary (13) and Elijah (11). John said. “I want to attend our children’s wedding, but I don’t think I’ll be there then.” Elton John slowly says goodbye. In the documentary he wonders what will happen to all the things he has accumulated. “I wonder what will happen to all this stuff when I’m gone. This is the last phase of my life. I don’t know how much time I have left.”
And he is grateful for his life: “I’m so lucky, I’m the luckiest person in the world.”
