Boris Becker: Insights into the funeral service for his mother

Boris Becker (57) continues to mourn his mother Elvira. The 89-year-old died on November 21st in her hometown of Leimen. Nine days later she was also buried there. Boris Becker shared some photos of the moving moment on December 2nd.

“With love and gratitude. For our mom & grandma, Elvira Becker,” wrote the former tennis professional in his latest post. This contains several photos of the funeral service, which took place in the church with the closest family circle. The pictures show, among other things, a coffin decorated with floral arrangements. In addition to the names of Boris, his wife Lilian (34) and his sister Sabine, the names of his children can be read on the banderoles, including that of his daughter Anna Ermakova (24). In other photos, Becker and his sons Noah (30), Elias (25) and Amadeus (14) can be seen in the church pew and lighting a candle for the deceased.

However, Anna Ermakova, who emerged from an affair with the tennis legend, did not personally attend the funeral service on November 30th. She explained her decision by citing existing “differences” with her father. “Right now everyone is mourning Grandma. That’s the most important thing. I think it’s common knowledge that my father and I have differences that need to be resolved. I didn’t want that to overshadow the situation and make anyone uncomfortable at the memorial service ” said Ermakova.

She described the attention she received in connection with the memorial service as “overwhelming.” The “Let’s Dance” winner now wants to concentrate on her own “healing” and pay her last respects to her grandmother in the cemetery at a later date.
