Willem Dafoe for the world premiere of “Nosferatu” in Berlin

Robert Eggers’ new “Nosferatu” film is extremely dark, scary and brutal – and definitely worth seeing. Parts of the top-class cast are coming to Berlin for the world premiere.

Hollywood stars Willem Dafoe, Emma Corrin and Nicholas Hoult came to Berlin for the world premiere of the horror film “Nosferatu – The Untote”. Fellow actors Bill Skarsgård (“It”) and Aaron Taylor-Johnson (“Nocturnal Animals”) also walked the red carpet in front of the Zoo Palace.

The vampire film by director Robert Eggers (“The Northman”, “The Witch”) is a remake of the legendary silent film classic “Nosferatu – A Symphony of Horror” by Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau from 1922. Eggers’ dark reinterpretation stars the newly married Ellen Hutter (Lily-Rose Depp) takes center stage. She is haunted by the dead Count Orlok (Skarsgård), the vampire Nosferatu.

Fatal obsession

A passionate but fatal obsession develops between the young woman and the vampire from Transylvania, which brings an entire town to the brink of the abyss. Hoult (“About a Boy”, “The Menu”) plays Ellen’s husband Thomas, Corrin (“The Crown”) plays her friend Anna Harding.

The film will be released in cinemas in Germany on January 2nd. Admission is only for those aged 16 and over.
