According to media reports, the musician’s anger is directed against the podcast by US comedian Joe Rogan, who has been criticized for downplaying the corona virus and spreading conspiracy theories. “You can have Rogan or Young. Not both.” It wasn’t until mid-January that doctors and other experts on the subject of Covid-19 wrote an open letter to Spotify and criticized Rogan’s podcast.
According to a post on his website in March 2021, Neil Young has been vaccinated against the coronavirus and is calling on his fans to do the same.
So far there has been no official statement from Young’s representatives, but the Canadian’s music is still available – at least for now – on Spotify.
