Reiner Calmund (76) had a breakdown while filming the new season of “Grill den Henssler” and had to be taken to hospital.
the juror was taken to a Cologne hospital in an ambulance after he became dizzy. Atrial fibrillation was subsequently diagnosed in the hospital.
Extensive examinations in the hospital
Calmund is now said to be back home with his family. The former sports manager said he was “extensively examined” in Cologne’s St. Vinzenz Hospital for almost 24 hours. And thanked the Bayer 04 chief physician Dr. Karl-Heinz Dittmar, who apparently “provided him with first-class medical care in the Cologne clinic.”
Even though the doctors gave the all-clear after evaluating the tests, Calmund has to take it easy after this incident for the time being. The three remaining recordings of the cooking show will therefore take place without him. Even after that, “Calli” can relax: “That’s no problem, I had approved a month’s vacation without any appointments after filming ‘Grill den Henssler’ anyway,” he writes on Instagram.
Bruce Darnell steps in as a juror
Calmund has been a juror on the cooking duel show by and with Steffen Henssler (52) since the first season. Vox wants to bridge its failure with various celebrities. In the recording on December 6th, Bruce Darnell (67) is supposed to evaluate the dishes together with Christian Rach (67) and Jana Ina Zarrella (47).
