It’s already a tradition: Princess Kate invites you to the Christmas service in Westminster Abbey. She addressed the invited guests in a letter with emotional words.
Princess Kate traditionally organized a large Christmas service in London’s Westminster Abbey. The wife of heir to the throne Prince William invited a total of 1,600 guests to the famous church in the center of the British capital for the evening.
The motto “Together at Christmas” is intended to show love and empathy and thus honor people who have helped others. Speaking to singer Paloma Faith, Kate also said: “This time last year I couldn’t have imagined what kind of year this would be.” The 42-year-old revealed that she had cancer this year and thanked her husband William, 42, for his support.
Princess Kate continues to only attend a few appointments
Kate arrived at the service, which is due to be broadcast on British television on Christmas Eve, wearing a red coat with a black bow at the collar. Their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, also attended the event.
“Love is the light that can shine brightly even in our darkest times,” Kate wrote in a letter to invited guests. “This Christmas service is a heartfelt celebration for each of you and a reminder that we must all shine for one another at Christmas and throughout the year. For in times of joy and sorrow, we are all each other’s light.”
The daughter-in-law of King Charles III. has finished chemotherapy but is still holding back from public appearances.
