One of the anonymous plaintiffs against Sean “Diddy” Combs has now publicly commented on her lawsuit. She is the ex-wife of an NHL professional.
Sean “Diddy” Combs (55) is currently facing a mountain of lawsuits, including allegations of abuse. The plaintiffs behind it have so far remained anonymous. Anna Kane, the ex-wife of NHL player Evander Kane (33), has now publicly commented on her lawsuit against the rapper.
Anna Kane uses her real name in an amended lawsuit filed Friday (December 6) in Federal District Court in Manhattan. The lawsuit is based, among other things, on this. US District Judge Jessica GL Clarke ruled that she had to do this in order to continue her lawsuit against Sean “Diddy” Combs. She filed her original lawsuit in December 2023 under the pseudonym Jane Doe.
“I won’t let myself be intimidated”
“I had hoped to use a pseudonym to obtain justice for what happened to me as a teenager,” says Anna Kane in a statement, which was also quoted from People magazine. “The defendant’s demand to use my name was an attempt to intimidate me, but I will not be intimidated. I am ready to move forward and hold those who harmed me accountable.”
Anna Kane alleges gang rape in her lawsuit. Harve Pierre, the former president of Bad Boy Entertainment, the company Diddy founded, is said to have lured her to a recording studio in New York in 2003. She met the rapper there. Diddy and others are said to have given her alcohol and drugs and then abused her. Kane was 17 years old at the time.
Serious allegations against Diddy
Sean “Diddy” Combs rejected the allegations in a statement in 2023. “Enough is enough,” the statement to People said. Combs was arrested in September 2024 and has been in custody in the New York City borough of Brooklyn ever since. The prosecution accuses him of sexually abusing women and men over the years and using a network of employees to put them under pressure. He is said not to have shied away from kidnapping, arson and physical violence. The rapper protests his innocence and speaks of consensual relationships.
Combs is also facing numerous civil lawsuits. A lawyer said in October that his firm represented more than 100 alleged victims. At the end of November, release on bail and conditions was again rejected. His trial is scheduled to begin on May 5, 2025. If convicted, he could face life in prison.
