“Masked Singer”: Who was in the snowman?

The snowman was thrown out of the ProSieben guessing show “The Masked Singer”. The artist in the costume had a global hit 25 years ago.

Pop singer Lou Bega (“Mambo No. 5”) had to give up his disguise on the ProSieben music show “The Masked Singer” – he was in the snowman costume. “That was fun,” said the 49-year-old after his real head appeared. “The best thing was just being able to do something that was so far away from who you think you are.”

For example, before the show he didn’t believe that he had Udo Jürgens in him (he sang “The sun always rises”). Bega most recently performed the Disney classic “When You Wish Upon A Star” by Cliff Edwards.

The German singer Bega landed the worldwide summer hit “Mambo No. 5” in 1999. The song was also performed in this “Masked Singer” season, but not by the snowman, but by Lauch, aka TV presenter Madita van Hülsen. Van Hülsen has already retired.

The former handball professional Pascal Hens and the actress and cabaret artist Maren Kroymann in the disguise of a pineapple figure were also eliminated before Bega.

In the live show “The Masked Singer” celebrities appear as singers, but they cannot be recognized because of their elaborate costumes. Only her voice and mysterious clues give any idea who is on stage. Whoever gets too few votes from the audience is exposed – or who wins the final in the end.

It continues with the remaining singers on Saturday, December 14th from 8:15 p.m. on ProSieben and Joyn. The final is scheduled for December 21st.
