The Minister of Security Patricia Bullrich presented this Monday the Güemes Plan in the city of Aguas Blancas -Jump-, which borders Bolivia. There, the official stated that both drug trafficking and trafficking will receive a “certain blow.”
“With Plan Güemes we are going to strike a sure blow against drug trafficking and trafficking, strengthening border controls and establishing clear neighborhood control management to ensure that there is a true customs administration“Bullrich emphasized.
This is a security program that seeks to combat crimes on the borders such as drug trafficking, hitmen, smuggling and human trafficking, as reported in a statement.
During the presentation, the minister highlighted that the plan will continue in the rest of the borders and that they will put “consensual measures” with the provincial government and local governments.

Patricia Bullrich: “We are not going to leave an inch of Oran in the hands of drug traffickers”
“We are going to develop a criminal approach strategy to know which gangs are in this territory and want to advance territorial control,” He assured, while adding: “We are not going to leave an inch of Oran in the hands of drug traffickers.”
In turn, the head of the Security portfolio He endorsed the local Federal Justice because “it goes to the front” and “fights with seriousness, professionalism and courage.”
In addition to that, he pointed out that the local governor, Gustavo Saenzhad been asking for the plan “day after day” and that is why progress was made “in parity of responsibility and forces” with the province.
“The decision is firm and clear: “Criminals have to be behind bars, not managing the streets and people’s lives,” Bullrich insisted.
In that sense, he explained that the plan will have other parts, but that the first will go “from now until March 2025” with a deployment of 310 troops, and stated: “We are convinced that it will be a great success.”
