Axel Kicillof, on Javier Milei’s first year: “It is a party for few and a disaster for the majority”

The governor of the province of Buenos Aires, Axel Kicillof, This Monday he questioned the economic and social policies implemented during the first year of the government of Javier Milei and affirmed that all the numbers of the libertarian administration “they are in red because “What he has done is a disaster.”. The Buenos Aires chief questioned the cuts in pensions, salaries, education, science and public works: “It is a celebration for a few and a disaster for the majority.”

“Tomorrow marks one year since the government of Javier Milei and there will surely be evaluations in the press. We organized this meeting in San Martín to talk about what many will want to hide. We are not thinking about what is happening on Wall Street, but about the reality of Buenos Aires and Argentine families.: is there where everyone Milei’s numbers are in red because what she has done is a disaster“, he expressed Kicillof in a multi-sector plenary session held in the town of San Martín.

Milei’s plan to lower inflation is not the one he proposed in the campaign: it is not about dollarizing or closing the Central Bank. He is making a conventional adjustment plan like that of Martínez de Hoz, Cavallo or Macri, in which the dollar is ironed and destroy salaries and pensions of the Argentines,” he denounced.

Axel Kicillof questioned Javier Milei’s cuts in pensions and salaries

He then highlighted that even workers who are in better working conditions have seen a drop in their income. “In the case of retirees, the loss is 20%: we would have to go through all of Argentine history to find out if there was ever a looting of this magnitude”he indicated.

Kicillof stated that the policies implemented by the Government they made the industry fall 12% and currently the used capacity of machinery in factories is 53%. “He says he is looking for investments, but all Milei did was stop half of the Argentine industry.”

He also denounced that since the assumption of the libertarian management in Argentina there are 4 million new poor. “It’s not about numbers, but about people, mothers and kids who are having a bad time. When they talk to us about the President’s alleged triumphs, we respond with what we see in each of the sectors that are represented here: money in Milei’s Argentina it is not enough. That is the summary: there is a party for a few and a disaster for the great majority,” he said.

Then the governor once again emphasized the Government’s adjustment to the retired. “Milei claimed that he was going to carry out a novel adjustment, directed towards the caste sector, but he did the opposite: the most affected were the retirees. Adjusting the elderly is not heroic, but cowardly.”

Kicillof denounced that the Government paralyzed works in the province illegally. “A work is not a line in Excel, but better possibilities, more access and rights.
