Because of his medical record, producers stopped giving him roles. Jack Osbourne’s MS disease hardly limits him physically.
Former reality star Jack Osbourne (39) and son of rock musician Ozzy Osbourne (76) complained that his multiple sclerosis diagnosis affected his career and he lost jobs because he was declared an “insurance risk”. Jack Osbourne says it was “insulting” when producers didn’t hire him because of his MS diagnosis at the Steel City Con in Pennsylvania.
On Friday, December 6th, the actor spoke about his experiences in the film industry: “It was a problem early on professionally that I couldn’t be hired into productions because they classified me as an insurance risk due to my neurological disorder.” They are said to have said, quoting the London native who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2012: “Oh, that’s too dangerous. So I lost my job, and I found that really insulting.”
“I know what it means to be a producer. We’re not that smart,” Osbourne, who has been releasing a paranormal reality show since 2020, continued. “A producer telling me what to do with a neurological [Problem] can do it or not? No damn, buddy, stay in your lane. “
“I have MS and don’t have any major problems with it”
Osbourne was 26 years old when he was diagnosed with the central nervous system disease. Just two weeks after the father of four and his now ex-wife Lisa Stelly (38) had their daughter Pearl Clementine (12). Tests were ordered after Osbourne lost 60 percent of his vision in his right eye.
Multiple sclerosis can cause patients to lose the ability to walk or move independently. But the American was “very lucky”. “I have MS and haven’t had any major problems with it over the years,” he emphasized. “A few things here and there, but nothing that changed my life, and I’m grateful for that.”
The 39-year-old does a lot of sports. “My motto is: ‘A body that moves stays in motion.’ Just keep going. (…) I like climbing. I do a lot of jiu-jitsu and hiking.
