Daniel Craig felt “drained” after every “James Bond” film
Daniel Craig celebrated his big breakthrough as “James Bond”. However, the filming took such a toll on him that it took him a long time to recover.
He has taken on the role of James Bond in the legendary 007 films five times. In 2021, Daniel Craig finally said goodbye as a screen agent with “No Time to Die”. Was the acting effort too much for him? The Brit now revealed to the Sunday Times newspaper how demanding the work on the espionage strips was. “At the end of a bond I was so exhausted that it took me six months to recover emotionally,” said the 56-year-old honestly about the filming.
But it wasn’t just the physical strain that the action-packed role as secret agent 007 entails that pushed Craig to his limits: “I always had the attitude that life had to come first, and that work had to come first for a while “First place, it drained me.”
He felt so empty that he couldn’t accept any other film offers, even though demand was enormous when he celebrated his breakthrough with “Casino Royal” in 2005. “I became a star, whatever that means, and people wanted me in their films. Unbelievable.”

But Callum Turner, Aaron Pierre, Jacob Elordi and Theo James are also said to be in the running for the next Bond.
When will the next 007 come into action? According to the British Mirror, “Due to delays in production and casting,” it will probably be several more years before James Bond returns to the screen.
From January 2nd, Daniel Craig can be seen in cinemas in Germany as a homosexual dropout in the film “Queer”.
