Evans recently had a cameo in the highest-grossing R-rated movie of all time, Deadpool & Wolverine from the MCU, like his character from the early Fox/Marvel days of the 2000s, which also predate Captain America: Johnny Storm from the 2000s films. The Russos also previously directed Avengers: Infinity War, Captain America Winter Soldier and Captain America Civil War from UCM. Avengers: Endgame It ranks as the second highest-grossing film of all time with $2.799 billion.
Avengers: Doomsday will hit US theaters on May 1, 2026. The Russos have Avengers: Secret Wars scheduled for May 2027.
