Heidi Klum raves about her husband Tom Kaulitz in a new interview and reveals the secret of her marriage.
Even five years after their wedding, Heidi Klum (51) and Tom Kaulitz (35) are still on cloud nine! The 51-year-old is now revealing the secret of her marriage. The renowned fashion magazine has chosen Klum as the cover heroine for its special January/February double issue.
“He likes me as I am”
“He completely understands me, is lovable. We can be normal together, he doesn’t pretend to me, I don’t have to pretend to him,” Klum enthuses about her husband, who is 16 years her junior. “He knows what I look like when I don’t have makeup on, look scrunched up in the morning and barely recognize him because my eyesight is getting worse. He likes me as I am. We have fun together!”
The 51-year-old explains that this is also due to his age. “At 35 you have more energy than if I had someone ten years older than me. I’m not someone who sits around, I love spontaneity. It’s the same with Bill, Tom’s brother. I have it straight away “I can also ask him for advice if Tom does something that annoys me,” laughs the mother of four.
More German is spoken at home
The Tokio Hotel guitarist has also changed his family life. “Since I’ve been together with Tom, we speak more German at home than before. Henri now also speaks German at school. He calls me more often so that we can do homework together.” Like his siblings Johan (18) and Lou (15), the 19-year-old comes from Klum’s marriage to the singer Seal (61). Klum’s 20-year-old daughter Leni is the result of a short relationship with Flavio Briatore (74) and was later adopted by Seal.
“I would love to have all my children at home around me, hanging out in the garden, sunbathing, having a BBQ. I only have two at home,” says Klum in an interview with “Madame”, describing her ingredients for happiness. While Leni is studying interior design in New York and pursuing her own modeling career, Henry is now in college. Of course, she also enjoys it “when the kids are with their father and I can fly to St. Barth with Tom to chill on the beach.”
Heidi Klum and Tom Kaulitz made their relationship public in May 2018. They got engaged at Christmas of the same year. On August 3, 2019, they finally tied the knot on a ship off Capri, Italy.
