Albert and Charlène’s twins celebrate their birthday – Palast shares private photos

Ten years ago, the children of Prince Albert II and his wife Charlène were born. The palace posted some private snapshots for her birthday.
They laugh on a tractor, wave flags and joke around: the Princely House of Monaco is offering an unusually private insight on the tenth birthday of the twins Jacques and Gabriella. Like , the palace posted previously unpublished pictures of the children on December 10th.
The royals said on Tuesday on the two children’s special day: “Happy birthday to heir to the throne Jacques and Princess Gabriella!” A video collage with a total of twelve images was shared with followers. The clip, which the princess’s foundation – the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation – also posted in its Instagram story, contains ten photos with both children as well as two individual portraits of the two birthday children.

Monaco: Princess Gabriella may be older, but Prince Jacques will be heir to the throne
The pictures, some of which were taken on the sidelines of public events, express, among other things, the special bond between the children of Prince Albert II and Princess Charlène. The twins hug each other or form a heart together with their hands. In one snapshot, Gabriella is leaning on her brother, who then laughs loudly.

Born in Zimbabwe and raised in South Africa, young Charlene Wittstock made a name for herself as a professional swimmer. She competed for South Africa at the Sydney Olympics in 2000. In the same year she met Prince Albert II of Monaco at a swimming competition in Monaco. However, it would be another six years before they appeared publicly as a couple for the first time.

Prince Albert II of Monaco married the former South African professional swimmer Charlene Wittstock on July 1, 2011, whom he had met eleven years earlier at a swimming competition. Three years after their wedding, the two welcomed their twins on December 10, 2014. Gabriella Thérèse Marie Grimaldi was born at 5:04 p.m., followed two minutes later by Jacques Honoré Rainier Grimaldi. Due to the male line of succession in Monaco, Jacques is his father’s successor.
