Mauro Esqueff was arrested after a series of raids. It promised annual returns of up to 122% in dollars.

The Investigative Police (PDI) The financier was arrested after several raids Mauro Esqueffaccused of having defrauded more than 300 clients through a ponzi scheme in Rosary. Prior to that, the Public Prosecutor’s Office had ordered his arrest.

The complaints against him began to be made last September and, according to what they claimed, the financier promised annual returns of up to 122% in dollarssetting a fixed value of the exchange rate. Finally, in August he stopped making payments

In all this time, An investigation was carried out in which it was possible to verify the scam by Esqueff through a Ponzi scheme.

We are facing a large scale scamwhich has caused immeasurable damage both quantitatively and qualitatively. Esqueff’s victims are mostly families who have been dispossessed of their life savings. Justice must be up to the task and give a complete demonstration of support to citizens against these criminals,” said lawyer Marcos Peiretti.

In turn, he mentioned that there is a new complaint in which it was demonstrated that the financier worked with other peoplewho were in charge of capturing the victims, and who continued scamming despite complaints.

“Already fallen from grace continued to attract savers who, under fiery promises, handed over sums of cash. “With which it is evident that their objective was always to get other people’s money,” he added.

“The objective pursued in this case is to be able to find the money that Esqueff took from the victims, so that it can be returned to them. We know that the MPA considers this as well. And in that sense we are convinced that the most suitable route is the criminal route. Because civil law appears to have insufficient powers to determine this. It is common for these individuals to choose to initiate their own bankruptcy.as a deterrent mechanism for their responsibilities and debts,” the lawyer concluded.
