This Wednesday, EU countries decided on more restrictions against products, people and entities. In the case of products, they refer to those used by some countries to contribute to the Russian war machine. Meanwhile, they added people and entities who will be prohibited from traveling to EU territory and whose assets will be frozen.
The agreement is expected to be officially approved by the foreign ministers of the member countries during the Council to be held at the EU headquarters in Brussels, Belgium. It will be the first to be chaired by the new EU High Representative for Foreign and Security Affairs, Kaja Kallas.
Sanctions against 69 people and 47 entities
In June the EU sanctioned 69 people and 47 entities which he considered responsible for actions that undermine or threaten Ukraine in its territorial integrity, its sovereignty and its independence.
