Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco: The couple announces their engagement

Selena Gomez (32) and Benny Blanco (36) are engaged! The singer, actress and entrepreneur announced the good news. There she posted pictures of her engagement ring and titled the post “forever begins now”. Her future husband jokingly added, “Hey wait… that’s my wife” in the comments to the numerous congratulations.

The 32-year-old revealed in December 2023 that she was dating music producer Blanco. According to media reports, the two have been in a relationship since June last year. The pair previously collaborated on Selena Gomez’s 2023 song “Single Soon” and the 2019 song “I Can’t Get Enough.”

During an appearance on The Howard Stern Show in May, Benny Blanco revealed that he could imagine marriage to the Only Murders In The Building star: “When I look at her, I always think: I don’t know a world , in which it could be better than this,” enthused the 36-year-old at the time.

In another interview with WSJ. Magazine, Blanco said it took him some time to realize that he had feelings for Gomez. “I was the last person to notice,” said Blanco. “It’s crazy how your partner can sit there all the time, right in front of your eyes, and you don’t even notice, and then you have this moment where you’re like, ‘Wait, I’m in love.'”

Selena Gomez, who was in an on/off relationship with Justin Bieber (30) between 2010 and 2018, had a lot to celebrate this year, and not just in her private life. Just this week she received two Golden Globe nominations, for the new film “Emilia Pérez” and her performance in the TV series “Only Murders in the Building.”
