Taylor Swift broke some records with her “Eras” tour. Now the tour has come to an end – and the next steps in the artist’s life are unclear.
Last Sunday, Taylor Swift played her final concert of the “Eras” tour in Vancouver. The American singer’s team confirmed that the record tour grossed two billion US dollars – the highest-grossing world tour of all time. Swift’s private life was also very busy at the time. Shortly before she played the first concerts of her tour, Swift and her then-boyfriend Joe Alwyn separated. A brief romance with 1975 singer Matty Healy followed, until Swift met football star Travis Kelce. The two have been dominating the headlines since last summer.
Taylor Swift: What’s next after the “Eras” tour?
They were turbulent years for the soon-to-be 35-year-old. And speculation about the time after “Eras” is already in full swing. Earlier this week, “Today with Hoda and Jenna” host Justin Sylvester speculated that Swift might now “run away” and “hide somewhere in the country and just be normal.” Moderator Kelly Ripa suspects something similar. “She has really achieved a great achievement. And now the mourning period begins,” she said on her talk show.
After 152 shows on five continents, Swift deserves a break. “It’s funny, from my zoomed-in perspective just following it on the news and seeing my friends post about it on social media, I would have thought she played a lot more than 152 shows,” Ripa said on her show . “I would have said three times as many. I guess if everyone sees the same concert, from my perspective it can seem like there are more,” said the presenter.

Reunited: After Taylor Swift traveled through Europe on her “Eras” tour over the summer, the 34-year-old is now back in the USA and enjoying being together with her partner Travis Kelce. The football player and the singer attended the men’s final at the US Open together on Sunday and were exuberant and flirting.

It remains to be seen whether Swift will handle it similarly to her colleague Adele. The Brit is known to retire after a new album or a long tour. You usually don’t hear from her for years until she comes back with a new project. If Swift went the same route, it could leave many Swifties disappointed. They have been waiting for years for the artist to re-record and release her successful album “Reputation”. Even after 152 concerts, Swifties can’t get enough.
