“Falcon Crest” star Jill Jacobson is dead. The actress died at the age of 70 after a long illness.
The American actress Jill Jacobson (1954-2024) has died at the age of 70. According to Hollywood insider Dan Harary, a friend of the actress, Jacobson died on December 8th at the Culver West Health Center in Cedars-Sinai, California, after a long illness. She leaves behind three children from her marriage to singer and songwriter Paul Dorman.
Known from series like “Falcon Crest” and “The New Gidget”
From 1985 to 1987, Jacobson appeared in 22 episodes of the CBS series “Falcon Crest,” which brought her to a wider audience. From 1986 to 1987, the actress also appeared in “The New Gidget”, a sequel to the 1960s ABC sitcom with actress Sally Field (78). “Jill’s comedic timing was brilliant,” said “The New Gidget” co-star Caryn Richman (68) about the deceased. “And her enthusiasm and love for life made our time together on set a pleasure.”
Jacobson also appeared in Star Trek: The Next Generation (1989) and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (1996). In recent years, the actress has particularly attracted attention through stand-up appearances at “The Improv” and “The Compedy Store in Los Angeles”.
The actress has also been a speaker and honoree for her volunteer work with the American Cancer Society. “She will be sadly missed by numerous relatives, friends and her beloved dogs Benny and Kowalski,” said Harary.
