His six children celebrated Don Johnson’s 75th birthday. He celebrated the happy event with a rare group photo.
US actor Don Johnson (75) shared a rare photo of himself with his six children on a Christmas-decorated staircase. The former “Miami Vice” star posted it on the occasion of his 75th birthday on Sunday (December 15th) and proudly wrote: “My children are my everything!!! Happy birthday to me!!!” His ex-wife Melanie Griffith (67) commented on the post: “How beautiful this is!!! FAMILY is everything. Happy birthday, Don.” She also sent three red hearts.
Big patchwork family
Donald Wayne “Don” Johnson’s six children have different mothers and one of them is adopted. He had his eldest son, actor Jesse Wayne Johnson (42), with actress Patti D’Arbanville (73).
Johnson’s eldest daughter is Dakota Johnson (34). He was married to her mother, Melanie Griffith, twice, first in 1976 for a short time and then from 1989 to 1996. Griffith brought her son Alexander Bauer (39) into the marriage. He comes from her first marriage (1981-1989) to actor Steven Bauer (68); Johnson is said to have adopted him. Also visible in the group photo is Griffith’s third child: Stella Banderas (27). It comes from her marriage to actor Antonio Banderas (64) in 1996 – they filed for divorce in 2014.
Don Johnson’s three younger children can also be seen in the photo. He shares this with his current wife (since 1999), the teacher Kelley Phleger (born 1969): Atherton Grace Johnson (24), Jasper Johnson (22) and Deacon Johnson (18).
Series hero and style icon of the 1980s
Don Johnson became a star in the 1980s. In the TV series “Miami Vice” he played the undercover police officer Sonny Crockett. Together with Ricardo Tubbs (Philip Michael Thomas, 75), he hunted down drug dealers in what was then the wild south of Florida. The series is best remembered for the detectives’ stylish clothing and the hit music.
