The civil war was about to break out between the industrial north and the conservative south, so slavery was a central problem and this film dares to tell in a realistic way what the social situation was like.
Due to the violence, conservatism and emotional nature of the story, it is ranked among the best films, at least, of the last century. Despite his duration of 3 hours It is not a production that is considered dense, slow or anything similar. Each fragment has a purpose that is worth seeing.

Schultz promises him that if he helps him, he will grant him his freedom. Said and done, and now that he is free Django sets out to rescue his wife, who is a slave on a farm belonging to Calvin Candie, a landowner who also hides fugitives from the law. Therefore, the bounty hunter also has interests in taking that path, which they finally do together.
The script, the stories and the situations seen by a free black man are worth it and expose a miserable era of humanity.
