Shooting for the comedy “The Man With The Bag” has begun for Arnold Schwarzenegger. The first pictures from the set show him in his Santa Claus look.
Arnold Schwarzenegger (77) is back in front of the camera. The actor was spotted on the set of The Man With The Bag in New York City on Tuesday (December 17). Amazon MGM Studios officially started production on the comedy.
While co-star Alan Ritchson (42) looked rather inconspicuous in a dark jacket and cap, Schwarzenegger was hard to miss on set. With a white beard, a colorful bobble hat, a dark blue-red scarf and a red coat, the 77-year-old was reminiscent of Santa Claus, who he is supposed to play in the film.
Arnold Schwarzenegger raves about the filming
“Santa Claus is coming to town!” writes Arnold Schwarzenegger in an Instagram post. The accompanying picture shows him with Alan Ritchson in a room decorated for Christmas. Schwarzenegger continued: “It’s fantastic to film ‘The Man with the Bag’ with Alan Ritchson.” The film’s director, Adam Shankman (60), is one of the funniest directors he has ever worked with. New York City is a fantastic host, working with the production company is a joy and he can’t wait to “share all this Christmas spirit with each and every one of you.”
About the film project. There was already speculation back then that Schwarzenegger could play Santa Claus. The plot of the comedy said: “When Santa’s magic bag is stolen, he turns to his evil list to find Vance, a former thief, to help him get it back. Along with his daughter, Santa Claus and A group of misfit elves Vance must pull off the biggest heist of his life to save Christmas.” It is said to be Schwarzenegger’s first film since 2019.
