Clothing and footwear already represents 75.1% of the total illegal sales in the City of Buenos Aires, and Avenida Avellaneda at 2,900, in Flores, the most affected block, as revealed by the Argentine Chamber of Commerce and Services (CAC) according to the latest report prepared by the Entity’s Trade and Services Observatory.
During the month of November They detected 513 illegal street sales stalls, this represented a decrease of 51.2% compared to November 2023, while, In relation to the measurement prior to October 2024, there was an increase of 2%.
The ten most affected blocks contained 98.6% of the total positions located in streets, avenues and pedestrians. Likewise, they represented 23.9% of the total blocks punished for illegal sales. In the Top 10, Avellaneda Avenue had 7 of the 10 blocks with the highest illegal sales, with a participation of 89.6% in the total detected on avenues and streets.
It was highlighted that The most affected block in the entire city was Av. Avellaneda at 2,900, where 108 positions were surveyed. Second place went to Av. Avellaneda at 3,000, with 86 stands.
The most traded item was Clothing and footwear, which covered 75.1%, followed by Food and beverages with 15.9% of the total. The main illegal marketing center for these categories was Av. Avellaneda, between the avenues and streets and the Once de Septiembre station, between the stations and squares.
On the other hand, There was a 0.4% drop in piracy cases compared to October 2024, with a total of 443 cases detected. Avellaneda Avenue led the counterfeits in the Clothing and Footwear category and Retiro Station in Optics, Photography, Watches and Jewelry.
