In this regard, the governor of Chaco expressed: “We are very happy about this progress, because currently, the section to Charadai, not being paved, makes traffic difficult, especially in rainy seasons, affecting the transportation of people, goods and essential services.”

Along these lines, he considered that “it is a fundamental work, long awaited and that, without a doubt, will improve people’s quality of life.”

“This year we have managed to reinstate the Fonplata operation that had been suspended in 2023 by decision of the previous national government. This year this decision has changed, it is allowing us to make investments in health, with hospitals and equipment; with education and closing the year,” he added.

Finally, Zdero with this decision to build this route that puts us at the beginning of a work greatly desired by all Chaco residents.”

Claim from Santa Fe to the Nation regarding the state of the routes

Currently, the state of the routes is one of the main problems among governors, regardless of their party affiliations. Several have even raised various demands to the Nation for the State to take care of the maintenance.

This week, for example, Santa Fe did so, demanding that Casa Rosada transfer routes 11 and 34 to it. According to provincial records, so far this year 60 people have already died in road accidents on those two arteries.

In this regard, the Minister of Public Works of Santa Fe, Lisandro Enrico, said that “for the Milei Government, national routes do not exist, they do not care, they are not interested. “The situation is unsustainable”.

Maximiliano Pullaro and Lisandro Enrico protested the state of the routes.

At the same time, Enrico listed that “they don’t cut the grass, they don’t cover the wells, they don’t have projects, they change things all the time, and politically no one shows their face. The nation collects taxes, VAT, Profits, does not remove withholdings, but does not put a weight on the routes. That is the reality: no one talks about national routes because it is an issue that is internal and this is a government that has a very Buenos Aires perspective, it is a Buenos Aires democracy, and the truth is that they don’t care.”

Furthermore, he recalled that the governor Maximiliano Pullaro had requested that the routes be transferred to the Province “if they were not going to repair them.”

According to a report prepared by the Provincial Road Safety Agency, it was revealed that in the RN 11 30 people have died so far this year.

Most of the events occurred in the central-northern section of the route (76%), with a high percentage (67%) of the deceased between the ages of 20 and 50. For its part, 30 people lost their lives in RN 34. The largest number of accidents occurred in the central section of the route (62%), the majority of victims were between 20 and 40 years old (45%) and the collisions were mainly against trucks (16 deaths).
