Lola Weippert inspires her fans with her enthusiasm. But she also has haters. Now she reveals a glimpse of her psychological injuries.

Sexy, funky, in a good mood – that’s how TV viewers know Lola Weippert (28). Weippert revealed a year ago that behind her life energy there was also an ADHD diagnosis. But what fans love about her also regularly attracts attention from Internet haters. Now the successful TV presenter spoke openly about the injuries that she has carried in her soul since childhood.

“Children can be so mean”

In the current episode of the N-JOY podcast “Deutschland3000 – a good hour with Eva Schulz”, Weippert speaks openly about her first experiences with bullying, among other things. In a detailed soul talk with Eva Schulz, she talks in detail about hurtful events that she had to endure while at school. It is well known that students sometimes treat each other mercilessly: “Children can be so mean,” confirms the “Temptation Island” presenter – but not just children. A teacher showed compromising pictures of her in front of the entire class in order to publicly humiliate them. Such events would have both strengthened and shaped her.

ADHD diagnosis as help

In the podcast, Weippert also opens up about her ADHD diagnosis, which she only received as an adult. The diagnosis was “the most positive test I’ve ever had,” said Weippert with a smile. The diagnosis didn’t shock her, but rather helped her. Since then, she has understood herself better and developed strategies to better cope with her specific challenges: “I learned that I can’t maintain focus on things that don’t interest me. That’s why I consciously gave up a lot of tasks.”

“Need connection to nature”

One of her positive ADHD strategies is called “Lola Land”. In 2021, Weippert bought an old farm near Berlin, which she is lovingly maintaining with the support of her family and a lot of excess energy. Since then, in addition to appearing on TV or on Instagram, she also likes to appear on her tractor, with which she circles her rural property. The farm has become her personal retreat and life project: “I need this connection to nature in order to cope in my media bubble. On my farm I can just be me.” At the same time, with “Lola Land” she wants to create a place where other people can also find peace.

“Hurt people hurt people”

She advises other people suffering from ADHD to get involved in therapy: “We should all go to therapy. Hurt people hurt people. If we learn to love ourselves, we can love others.” Weippert, who has learned to live well with her diagnosis, now also helps others. She gives courses on how to deal with it at schools. She is currently seeking peace and quiet on a Hurtigruten trip into the eternal ice of the Norwegian polar region. She thanks her “greatest role model”, her mother: “You are my home,” she writes. “Thank you for never giving up on me and always fighting for me.”
