They are words his family and fans have been waiting for: Ralph Siegel is “cancer-free.” He only made his renewed illness public in September.
It is the news that Ralph Siegel and his family have been hoping for for so long: the composer and music producer has beaten cancer again. “I’m cancer-free. The metastases are also gone. My doctors say it’s like a miracle,” .
It was only in September of this year that Siegel made it public that he had been diagnosed with prostate cancer for the fourth time. His body was affected by metastases that caused him severe pain. A metastasis in the upper body even led to a fracture in the thoracic vertebrae area. “Now we have the same thing again in thoracic vertebra five. And unfortunately the thoracic vertebra is now broken. It’s unbelievable pain,” his wife Laura Siegel reported to the TV magazine “Brisant” on the sidelines of their charity Oktoberfest event in favor of sick children “.
Successful combination therapy
The “A Little Peace” composer owes his healing to a special hormone withdrawal therapy. As his treating internist Michael Weis from Neuwittelsbach Hospital explains to the tabloid, Siegel “receives an injection of Trenantone every three months and daily tablets with the active ingredient darolutamide.” This combination prevents “the growth-promoting effect of testosterone on the tumor cells.”
After a three-hour examination last Monday, the doctors were able to give the musician the saving news: all metastases have disappeared. “All the evil crustaceans are gone. I’m so grateful,” says Siegel happily.
Ralph Siegel’s long ordeal
Siegel’s battle against cancer began in 2007 with his first prostate cancer diagnosis. The serious illness returned in 2010, 2022 and this year. His fourth wife (since 2018), Laura Siegel, has been at his side for many years. Now the two can finally breathe a sigh of relief and look forward to Christmas.
