He Ministry of Infrastructure and Public Services of Buenos Aires carries out different works in the provincial routes 2, 11, 56 and the Buenos Aires – La Plata Highway within the framework of the preview of the summer season. In this way, the Buenos Aires government seeks to improve circulation to benefit thousands of people who travel these roads to the Atlantic Coast and Mar del Plata.
In total, the 5 works cross 4 municipalities and cover a total of 258.7km. Among the tasks are: transformation into a highway, repaving, new distributors and other complementary interventions to enhance the environment and signage.

The detail of the works in the province of Buenos Aires

Roads will also carry out work on the new distributor at the intersection of the RP 11 with RP 56 and with the resurfacing of 31.3 km of the RP 56 highway, which will soon be closed for the summer season until March 15, 2025. In total, the RP 56 highway is a 62 km corridor in total, located in the east of the Province of Buenos Aires, which connects the junction with Provincial Route 11 at the access to General Conesa and the junction with Provincial Route 74 in the city of General Madariaga. It is one of the most used roads between CABA and the coastal cities of Pinamar and Villa Gesell, among other beach towns, which generates great traffic in the summer season and at Easter.
For its part, the AUBASA company launched the works on 8.1 km of the Gutiérrez Branch of the Buenos Aires – La Plata Highway between the Gutiérrez Roundabout and the Hudson Distributor, in the Berazategui district, which will benefit more than 700,000 thousand users and users. Likewise, toWork progresses on the new distributor at Km 51.5 of the Buenos Aires-La Plata Highwayin the municipality of La Plata, which will allow the addition of a new descent on Avenida 520 (RP 13), improving connectivity and travel times in the region.
The work consists of the construction of a new road distributor that includes all the variants of entry and exit of the Highway, both in the direction of La Plata and CABA, and a third lane 3.65 m wide on each side with shoulders external 2.5 m.
With the authorization of the new distributor, Av. 520 will be the only one artery of the city that will connect the Buenos Aires-La Plata Highway directly with Highway RP 2. In addition, this avenue crosses the horticultural and floricultural productive area of the region; It is the seat of numerous industrial companies, shopping and health centers; and connects with the petrochemical hub area of Ensenada and the port of La Plata.
