Giovanni Zarrella tried for a long time without surgery. Now his kidney stones had to be removed. He shows himself again on Instagram.
He persevered for months and tormented himself through television shows like his big “Giovanni Zarrella Show” (ZDF) with strong painkillers. Now Giovanni Zarrella (46) had to undergo an operation because his kidney stones were so large that natural removal was no longer possible. According to “Bild” reporting, the 46-year-old completed the necessary operation last week.
Back in November, the hit show host had to stop rehearsals two days before his “Giovanni Zarrella Show” because of the pain. He was treated at the Göttingen University Hospital, rested for a day and then shone again on stage. But painkilling medication apparently didn’t work.
Zarrella didn’t say a word about the operation. After the procedure, the musician said to “Bild”: “I’m relieved that I’ve now had the operation behind me and that everything turned out well. Now I’m looking forward to the Christmas season with my family.”
“I’ve had two surgeries now”
The Italian is back home in Cologne. This is indicated by a video that he published for his fans on the evening of December 19th: “I’m perfectly healthy again. Thank God. I’ve had two operations now and everything is fine. I’m back to square one. I’m happy looking forward to the coming year.”
A few days before, he celebrated his wife Jana Ina Zarrella’s 48th birthday on December 12th. The model posted a photo with her husband and words of gratitude on the occasion of her special day and the medical circumstances: “I have the best family you could ask for and we are healthy – what more could you want?”
See you again with Zarrella at Christmas
On December 25th, the singer will be seen on the “Helene Fischer Show” (ZDF). However, the program was recorded in Düsseldorf in the first week of December. In addition to Zarrella, the following will appear in this year’s Christmas show: Florian Silbereisen (43), Hape Kerkeling (60), Marianne Rosenberg (69), Maite Kelly (45), Álvaro Soler (33), Nino de Angelo (61) and the international star Robbie Williams (50).
