Diego Milito is now the new president of Racing: “A new stage is beginning and I need you all”

The former forward of Racing Diego Milito took office tonight as the new president of the Avellaneda entity and was optimistic when stating that “a new stage begins without majorities or minorities”.

The former forward of “La Academia” gave a speech as the current president of the institution in the Assembly that took place at the Sports Center.

“In this Assembly there are no majorities or minorities, as it should be. There is racing. I am very happy,” he began.

And he continued: “Today a new stage begins in the club and not only do I need all of them (the members) but also Racing. This institution is the most important thing”.

In turn, the former attacker who played for Inter Milan in Italy, took the opportunity to praise the rest of the members of the Board of Directors, which has Martín Ferré and Hernán Lacunza as vice presidents, and establish what the leadership’s priorities will be. for the next four years of office.

“We make up the team that I always dreamed of. We all complement each other in our roles and that is very important. This is not about proper names. We seek the common good of Racing. Several years of work await us, but we want the partners of “This institution and all the fans feel represented.”he indicated.

Finally, he took the opportunity to send a heartfelt message to the fans of “La Academia” and show his total commitment to the club.

“Believe me, I’m going to defend Racing with my life. That’s what I did on the field at the time and in 2018 when I held another role (Sports Director). I’m going to defend the club to the death from this presidency. That’s what they can be insurance”he concluded.
