Netflix star Kim Riedle is in her time on the daily soap

Actress Kim Riedle has given many films an accent with her striking characters. Since the shocker “Dear Child,” millions around the world have known her face. Now she has a run on TV.
The leading actress of the globally successful Netflix series “Liebes Kind”, Kim Riedle, also sees her time on the soap opera “Forbidden Love” as a valuable part of her training. The 42-year-old actress said this in a dpa interview.
The Berliner played the model Giselle Schulz in 2014 – a few months before the ARD soap ended: “I was able to gain a lot of filming experience in this soap. And I never approached things naively. I knew what the format was is what I’m doing and what the framework is. But I’ve always done my best.”
In the next few weeks, Kim Riedle will be seen prominently in a number of crime novels and dramas, including joining the ARD series “Kommissar Van der Valk” as investigator Kalie Tenkers on December 26th (9:45 p.m.).
Her conclusion from the early years of her career: “I think it gave me good work discipline and a familiarity with the camera. And I believe that you can get better that way. And that was always more important to me than being known “I want to be good at my job.”
A month ago, the thriller series “Liebes Kind”, released in 2023, received an International Emmy, one of the most important TV awards in the world. “It was absolutely overwhelming. Everything,” Riedle remembers. “It was my first time in New York. I always wanted to go to New York. And this is really a dream that has come true.” And it was actually what she had dreamed of.
About the moment of the announcement: “This moment is really as people tell it. Suddenly everything is as if in slow motion and you are slightly disoriented and ask yourself: “Where do we have to go now?” (…) The shared joy “That was a fantastic experience at that moment.”
