Singer brings Beatles colleague onto stage

Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr thrilled Beatles fans on Thursday evening and performed together on stage.
The Beatles stars Paul McCartney (82) and Ringo Starr (84) celebrated a small comeback on December 19th. , McCartney gave his final concert as part of his “Got Back” tour at the O2 Arena in London, where his former bandmate Starr was also in attendance. McCartney quickly invited him on stage to accompany him on drums for the songs “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” and “Helter Skelter”. Starr complied with this request and performed the two Beatles hits with McCartney. It was the musicians’ first musical appearance together in five years: they last appeared on stage together on McCartney’s “Maccas Freshen Up” tour in 2019.

For decades, the Beatles around John Lennon (1940-1980), George Harrison (1943-2001), Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr have been considered absolute legends in the music world. The lives of the four musicians are now being captured on the big screen in a multi-part film series. Director Sam Mendes (59) is currently planning a project consisting of four films, each of which will be dedicated to a Beatle.
It is already clear which actors will take on the roles of the mushroom heads. Accordingly, Starr will be portrayed by “Saltburn” star Barry Keoghan (32), while “Gladiator 2” actor Paul Mescal (28) will portray McCartney. The “Triangle of Sadness” star Harris Dickinson (28) is said to take on the role of Lennon, who was murdered in 1980. George Harrison (1943-2001), who died of cancer, is to be portrayed by actor Charlie Rowe (28).
It is not yet known in which order the lives of John Lennon, George Harrison, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr will be presented. However, it is believed that production on the project will start in 2025 and the films will all be released by 2027.
