King Charles attended an appointment in London before his Christmas break. He joked about his health.
King Charles III (76) visited Walthamstow in the London Borough of Waltham Forest together with his wife Queen Camilla (77). The two attended a reception at City Hall on Friday (December 20) to commemorate the anti-racism demonstrations last August and to honor social cohesion.
During his visit to east London, Charles met representatives of various faith communities, greeted the crowds gathered outside and joked about his health. When asked how he was doing, he replied with a smile: “I’m still alive.”
It was previously revealed that Charles’ cancer treatment will reportedly continue next year. This was reported by “Sky News,” among others. According to the report, the palace said that the monarch’s treatment “has progressed in a positive direction and the treatment cycle will continue into next year.” According to Sky News, the anonymous source added that there was confidence regarding the cancer. This is also reflected in the king’s desire to complete a dense program of public appearances.
Gifts and Christmas greetings
As the Daily Mirror continues to report on Charles’ recent appearance in London, the monarch chatted in a good mood over tea with those present, including representatives of charities. During the visit, Camilla presented toys to Citizens UK to be given to children in asylum accommodation. The royal couple also brought a donation to a food bank. Charles wished the members of a children’s choir a happy holiday after their performance. “And also to your poor teachers,” he also joked when talking to the children.
