Commentator “Buschi” counts Raab: “Has he gotten old?”

Stefan Raab once again competes in games with candidates on a Saturday evening – but despite his ambition, he doesn’t succeed in everything in his new show. For an observer it was a real treat.

Entertainer Stefan Raab had to endure taunts from commentator Frank “Buschi” Buschmann at the premiere of his new RTL Saturday evening show. The sports expert became clearest when the goal in a game was to sink a bowling ball into a hole – which Raab really didn’t do well at first. “How bad was that?” Buschmann commented in amazement on Raab’s attempt.

A little later, the commentator, who classified what was happening on the show for the viewers, followed up again. “What’s going on with Raab with this skill thing?” he asked from his commentary position. “What’s wrong with Stefan Raab? Has he gotten old?” Raab reacted promptly: “I’ll put it this way: I think the Bushi is talking shit again,” he shot back.

In the show “Stefan and Bully versus someone Schnulli”, Raab and his colleague Michael “Bully” Herbig (“LOL”) competed against a single candidate – the 35-year-old Bundeswehr doctor Marc. The games involved, for example, blowing feathers out of a bowl or pushing objects into a box with your foot.

“What’s going on with Master Raab here?”

There was also a small rally in one game. In Buschmann’s opinion, Raab – actually known for his control of motorized vehicles – did not show the expected performance. “Raab with amazing problems here,” he commented as the “Raabinator” slid through the mud in a cart. “What’s going on with Master Raab here?”

The format is reminiscent of Raab’s previous show “Schlag den Raab”, in which he once competed against competitors on ProSieben. The last episode ran in 2015. After that, Raab largely withdrew from the public eye for almost ten years. The now 58-year-old has been back on the screen since mid-September. He tied himself contractually to RTL.

“Stefan and Bully against someone Schnulli” is the first new Saturday evening show with the entertainer. Raab’s old partner Elton acted as game director.
